# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It tastes genuinely indulgent without the guilt or the crazy sugar crash that comes with the real thing.
  • Five minutes from fridge to glass means you can make this on the busiest mornings without stress.
  • The vanilla bean paste creates those tiny flavor flecks that make it feel fancy, even though you're basically just using a blender.
  • At 18 grams of protein per serving, it actually keeps you full instead of being a glorified dessert.
02 -
  • Don't skip the vanilla pudding mix thinking you can just add more vanilla extract—I tried that once and ended up with something that tasted like pure vanilla extract, which is a completely different problem.
  • Blend immediately after adding the ice or it starts melting and dilutes your shake into disappointment; I learned this by stepping away to answer a text and coming back to soup.
03 -
  • Prep your dry ingredients the night before in a small bowl so you can literally throw everything in the blender without measuring on a rushed morning.
  • If your blender struggles with ice, let it sit for thirty seconds after you add everything so the ice starts softening slightly and doesn't work against your motor.
